Beginner tips

Play Homescapes with a calmer puzzle plan

These tips are beginner-friendly and avoid shortcuts. The aim is to help you understand boards, use tools wisely, and enjoy the renovation loop at your own pace.

Practical habits

Small decisions can make levels easier to read

1

Plan the first move

Check the level goal and blocked spaces before moving. A thoughtful first match can open the board faster.

2

Create power-ups

Larger matches can create useful tools. Combining them near the goal area is often better than using them immediately.

3

Watch move count

If a move does not help the objective, look for one that opens space or brings pieces closer to the goal.

Use boosters wisely

Boosters are most valuable when they solve a specific problem: a locked section, a final target, or a board with very few moves left. Try not to spend them just because a level looks crowded.

When possible, combine boosters near the center or near the hardest objective. That can clear more useful space than using one in an isolated corner.

Approach difficult levels

Pause for a moment and identify the obstacle that is slowing progress. Sometimes the right move is clearing space first, not matching directly next to the final target.

If a level becomes frustrating, step away and return later. Homescapes is easier to enjoy when it stays a relaxed activity.

Manage stars and events

Stars move renovation tasks forward, so spend them when you want to continue the story. Events can be fun, but they are optional. Play the ones that fit your schedule and ignore the rest without pressure.
